About Nyerere (Selous)
Nyerere National Park, formerly the northern part of Selous Game Reserve, is one of Africa's largest protected areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Rufiji River, Tanzania's largest river, flows through this pristine wilderness, creating a network of channels, lakes, and swamps.
